John Wooden Quote – Rights and Feelings

I shared this on twitter a few days ago but I keep being reminded of it:

Consider the rights of others before your own feelings, and the feelings of others before your own rights. – John Wooden.

  2. Nice quotation.

It made me think of Janet Smith’s thoughts on how most moral argument in the culture deteriorates into “rights” language without getting to the root of rights. Short book, but excellent topic http://www.amazon.com/Right-Privacy-Bioethics-Culture/dp/158617259X/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1278459658&sr=8-2-fkmr0
